The body of an unknown man was recovered by Netcare911’s Specialised Rescue Unit in Durban’s Blue Lagoon this morning.
Netcare911 Rescue officer Tom Turpin was dispatched to the scene after fisherman noticed the body of a man floating in the lagoon.
Turpin swam and managed to drag the body, thought to have been in the water for several days, to the shore line.
The identity of the man is unknown and police officers are trying to trace his next of kin.
