Two people were seriously injured when two cars collided on Marbleray Drive near the John Dory junction in Newlands this afternoon.
It is alleged that a light motor vehicle had been travelling on Marbleray Drive and had indicated a right turn into John Dory Drive. A delivery vehicle approached from behind and the driver was unable to slow down in time and collided with the lead car.
The delivery vehicle left the road and rolled several times before coming to rest at the foot of a roadside embankment. The driver and passenger sustained serious injuries and were treated by Netcare911 Paramedics before they were transported to the Netcare Umhlanga Hospital for further medical attention.
