A Robbie 22 crashed on the Rand airport leaving the instructor with relatively serious injuries this morning just after 08:00.It is purported that the instructor was training a student when something went wrong. The details to the cause of the accident remain a subject for civil aviation to investigate
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on scene and found that the pilot had sustained serious injuries while the student escaped the accident uninjured. After paramedics deftly immobilised the instructor he was transported to the Netcare Union hospital for further treatment.
