Farm Attack in Potchefstroom

ER24 paramedics, accompanied by members of the SAPS, entered a farming premises in Potchefstroom where a man had allegedly been shot.

On arrival, they found a 46 year old male patient with multiple wounds on the right hand side of his back. The patient explained that he had been shot through the window of his bedroom with a shotgun as he slept. The man’s father, who was also asleep in the house, remained unharmed.

The wounds sustained by the farmer are deemed to be critical until further proven otherwise, and ER24 paramedics transported the man to the nearest provincial hospital.

The number of perpetrators that entered the premises is as of yet not know, but SAPS will be conducting an investigation into the shooting.
