Pump Valve Pit
According to the SAPS, a man suspected to be homeless, was allegedly assaulted this evening in the Fourways, Sandton vicinity. A call was received by the SAPS around nine o’ clock in the evening requesting an ambulance.
Upon ER24 paramedics arrival, a male patient was found semi-conscious in a pump valve pit where he is believed to be residing. He was bleeding from multiple lacerations to his head an arms.
The patient was stabilized and his wounds dressed before Fire and Rescue workers assisted in the difficult task of removing the patient from the pit.
The patient was transported in a stable condition to Helen Joseph hospital.
