ER24 paramedics attended a suspicious scene in Havlock Road, Pietermaritzburg CBD.
On arrival at the premises, paramedics were directed by the police to a patient that was lying face down on the floor in a room. The man was declared dead on arrival and appeared to have been dead for a while. Paramedics noticed a strap that was tightly wrapped around the man’s neck.
The police secured the scene and are investigating the circumstances around the man’s death.
