A mother and her four children have been treated for smoke inhalation after their house caught alight this morning.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene, they found the house engulfed in flames. The mother and two off her children were found outside on the road, Fire Fighters were inside the house rescuing the remaining two. The patients were treated for smoke inhalation and placed onto oxygen on the scene before been transported to EThekwini Hospital casualty for further medical care.
It is unclear what caused the fire but it is believed to have started in the lounge. The necessary authorities will be investigating the cause.
