Emergency Helicopter Evacuation of Surfer
A surfer needed to be airlifted by the ER24-Discovery Medicopter from Noordhoek Beach after sustaining suspected spinal injuries.
The thirty three-year-old man injured himself when “wiped out” in shallow water. Cape Medical Response arrived on scene and initiated treatment on the patient. Due to his injuries and location it was decided that the patient needed to be airlifted from the scene.
The patient was transported in a stable condition by the ER24-Discovery Medicopter to Milnerton Medi-Clinic.
