Husband And Wife Treated For Smoke Inhalation

A husband and wife were treated for possible severe smoke and chemical inhalation after the business that they were working at on Acutts Road in Durban North was in gulfed in flames on Monday afternoon.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the house that had been turned into a business premises was totally in gulfed in flames and was being extinguished by the local Fire Department. The husband was found walking around on scene but pointed to his wife a few meters up the road who was battling to breath. Both patients were placed on oxygen and there vitals were monitored. They were both transported to EThekwini Hospital in a serious but stable condition further medical care.

The cause of the fire is yet unknown but the necessary authorities were on the scene and would investigate the fire further. No other injuries were reported on the scene.
