A man had a narrow escape after crashing his car into a tree on Old Main Road in Northdene late yesterday evening.
Emergency personnel arrived on the scene to find the vehicle in the road with the driver being treated by a member of the public for a laceration to his head. The driver was later detained by the local authorities for questioning.
It is unclear what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle but an investigation would be done.
