Three serious accidents in Pretoria and Johannesburg on Wednesday left one person dead and dozens more injured.
A father taking his children to school was killed when his BMW was hit by a truck on Lynnwood Road in eastern Pretoria. The two youngsters were hurt.
In another crash, around 40 people were injured when a bus hit a tree on Zambezi Road in Pretoria north – only the driver was seriously hurt.
Meanwhile, in Johannesburg a bakkie carrying 21 people overturned on the R512.
The accidents come after another crash involving a bakkie in Midrand on Tuesday which left 15 schoolchildren injured, two of them critically.
It is believed the driver had been transporting the youngsters on the back of the vehicle when he lost control and it overturned.
