Ten people were injured, four seriously, when the bakkie they were travelling in was struck by another vehicle and thereafter overturned on Point Road near the Brown Road junction in the early hours of this morning. The ten are thought to be workers from a local night spot.
The cause of the accident remains unclear and will be the subject of a South African Police Force investigation. It is thought that both vehicles were travelling in the same direction and the vehicle clipped the rear of the bakkie, overturning it and sending the workers spilling into the road.
They were treated and stabilised at the scene by Netcare911 Paramedics at the scene before they were transported by ambulance to a Durban hospital for further medical attention.
