An alleged fight left five people in a serious condition outside a nightclub in the Durban CBD last night. Shortly after 22:00 paramedics from ER24 received the emergency call as a shooting incident. Once the paramedics arrived on the scene, they found a different incident. Five people were lying in the street with multiple stab wounds to their bodies. All of the men believed to be in their 20’s were in a serious condition and paramedics had to act quickly.
Extra resources were called to the scene to assist the paramedics in stabilising the patients.
It is not clear what led to the incident, however bystanders on the scene explained to paramedics that a fight broke out and people started stabbing each other.
All five of the men were rushed to a local hospital for further medical management.
The police also attended the scene.
