Good Samaritan Killed in Gunfire at Lenasia shopping centre

A good Samaritan was shot and killed this morning at a shopping centre in Lenasia.

Shortly after 10:00 paramedics received an emergency call for a shooting incident at a local mall. ER24 paramedics that arrived on the scene found the area cordoned off with a man lying inside of it. The man believed to be in his 20’s sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

The man was already dead by the time paramedics arrived at the scene. Paramedics assessed for any signs of life, but due to the extent of his injuries he was declared dead.

Bystanders on the scene explained to paramedics that apparently an unknown amount of gunmen opened fire on the man when he apparently tried to apprehend them after an alleged robbery.

No one else was injured in this incident. Paramedics offered trauma support to the man’s family and bystanders.

The police attended the scene.
