An incident occurred this afternoon at an office and storage building in Paarden island. A group of sales people were attending to business in their office, when without warning a man plummeted trough the ceiling onto the office floor.
One sales person said they heard no noise above their heads and had no idea that anybody was in the ceiling before the man came crashing trough the boards. The man was attending to some air conditioning ducts in the ceiling when he allegedly lost his footing and fell approximately two meters trough the ceiling panels onto the office floor. When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene the local first aiders in the office were already attending to the man. The worker was in some discomfort and was complaining about pain to various parts of his body
Using specialized techniques the man was immobilized before being removed from the building. He sustained injuries to his back and lower extremities. The man was later transported to a nearby medical facility for further treatment.
