A worker sustained moderate injuries this morning in the industrial area of Montague Gardens. The incident occurred in a loading bay at one of the warehouses in Alternator rd.
It is unclear as to how exactly the incident occurred, but a worker allegedly stood with his back facing a reversing truck before being hit by the truck. When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene Metro ambulance services were already attending to the injured man. The man complained about pain to his back and was later transported to a nearby medical facility by another ambulance service.
According to on scene witnesses the man was lucky to sustain only moderate injuries as the incident could have played out differently causing the man serious bodily harm.
