Five people have been very lucky to have been left physically uninjured after a large container truck crossed through the Pinehaven N14 intersection and landing onto two cars.
It is believed that the truck experienced mechanical failure and the driver was unable to stop at the robot. He then drove through the intersection and into two cars. As the truck lost control, the loaded container tipped to the side and almost completely covered the two small hatchback cars. The three people in the silver Renault Clio, the lady in the blue Toyota Yaris and the driver of the truck were quickly assessed by paramedics at the scene. All of the five people involved had managed to climb out of their respective vehicles themselves and after calming their nerves, decided that seeing though they had not suffered any physical injuries they all requested that they take their own private transport to their destinations.
A second truck was almost involved in the accident, but the driver, using quick thinking, pulled the truck onto the side of the road and he collided lightly with a lamp post. He too was left uninjured. Paramedics were pleasantly surprised that there were no serious injuries in the accident, as many of the previous truck accident at this very same intersection have left many critically injured or deceased.
