16 people have been injured after a truck collided with 2 cars at the intersection of William Nicol Drive and Ballycare Drive.
It seems that the truck was travelling towards Sandton from Fourways and crashed over the center island just before the robots. The truck then crashed right over the drivers compartment of a Toyota Yaris. Fortunately the woman driving the car was not injured and she later refused to be taken to hospital by ambulance. It is still not clear as to why the truck was unable to stop.
There were 16 men in the truck at the time of the accident and they all sustained moderate injuries. They were all assessed on scene before being taken to various hospitals in the area for further treatment.
The driver of an SUV in attempting to avoid the accident drove over the robots at the intersection, but was also fortunately left with no physical injuries.
