Two people escaped with their lives after their car burst into flames on the N2 – M7 off ramp this morning in the heavy rain. Reports indicate that the driver noticed flames coming from the engine compartment when he took the M7 off ramp.
The car was soon engulfed in flames but the occupants managed to escape uninjured. Police had to close the off ramp resulting in an enormous back up of cars on the N2.
