A man in his twenties died after falling a hundred and fifty meters off a cliff in the Nsuze area of KZN. Reports from the community indicate that the man went missing last Monday; his body was found at the base of a cliff late yesterday afternoon.
Netcare 911 rescue and the SAP Search and rescue under the leadership of captain Troy Allison set up rope systems and lowered the rescue team down the side of the cliff. After about two hours the man was located and placed in a specialized stretcher before they started to hoist them back to the top of the mountain. Further details of how the man landed at the bottom of the cliff will remain a subject for police comment.
