Two young men are lucky to be alive after the VW Jetta that they were travelling in left Hole in One Road near the Ruimsig Golf Course in Ruimsig.
It is not clear at this stage what the cause of the accident is, but the vehicle rolled quite a distance from where it initially left the road. The vehicle was extensively damaged and the wheels had come off. It was difficult for paramedics to even determine what the vehicle had once been. It came to rest close to a residential wall, on it’s base where the wheels once were.
Both men, surprisingly, had suffered only very minor cuts and bruises, indicating that they had both been wearing their seat belts during the accident.
They were both found walking around on scene, and despite being a little shaken up as to what had just taken place, they decided that they wouldn’t need further medical care at a hospital and would take private transport to their intended destination.
