A two year old little girl is in a critical condition after a concrete sink fell on her at her home in Brakpan this afternoon.
The child was allegedly playing outside when the concrete wash bay outside the house came loose and fell onto the child, hitting her on her head. Her parents rushed her to a nearby clinic where an ambulance was called to take her to hospital. The Life Glynnwood Advanced Life Support paramedic along with the ER24 ambulance crew arrived at the clinic and found the child had multiple breaks to her skull and scrapes and abrasions to her arms and legs.
The injured little girl was stabilised as far as possible at the clinic before being taken to the Life Glynnwood Hospital for further care.
The child remains at the hospital in a critical condition.
