A park ranger believed to be in his mid 40’s is in a stable condition after being attacked by a rhino in the Kruger National Park this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics responded from Nelspruit and arrived at Hazy View were the injured game ranger had just arrived. The paramedics assessed his injuries and found that he had suffered minor to moderate injuries. He was stabilised further and transported to Mediclinic Nelspruit for further medical care.
It is believed that the game ranger was walking patrol when he was confronted by the rhino. He is extremely lucky to have got away with minor injuries and only been attacked once by the rhino.
