A 1-year-old boy was run over by a neighbour and killed in Diepsloot on Thursday, Johannesburg emergency services said.
“The driver reversed over the toddler while backing out of a driveway around 09:00,” spokesperson Synock Matobako said.
A domestic worker was looking after the toddler at the time and it was unclear why he was behind the vehicle.
He died from severe head trauma before paramedics could arrive.
Police would investigate.
