ER24 and other emergency personnel attended to a major accident on the Lupisi Road between Plaston and White River, where two bakkies collided into one another this afternoon.

The four occupants from the two bakkies had suffered very minor injuries and were transported to various hospitals for further medical care.

It appears that the one bakkie had frontal damage while the second bakkie had damage to the driver’s door area. The impact caused the vehicle to roll down an embankment 20m below the road and landed on its roof.

ER24 paramedics searched the area surrounding the vehicle in the ravine to ensure no other patients were left behind.

The necessary authorities will be investigating the accident further.
