A man believed to be on his early 40’s has drowned on Glen Beach near Camps Bay this morning.
ER24 paramedics were called by Camps Bay Community Medical for a man who had just being pulled out of the ocean by life guards. When paramedics arrived on the scene, they found the life guards and members of public doing CPR. Advanced Life Support intervention had to be performed on the patient. Unfortunately after a long battle to save the mans life, he was declared deceased on the scene.
It is believed that the man was swimming with his children when they got into difficulty. He was able to get them safe but he was able to do the same. ER24 paramedics called in trauma councillors to help give support to the family.
