A four year old girl sustained serious injuries earlier this morning after plummeting six stories from a apartment building in Navilsig.
The cause of the incident is unclear at this stage, but the four year old was allegedly playing in the apartment when her parents heard the sound of breaking glass. Upon investigating the noise the adults found that the girl had plummeted six floors out the window to the ground level.
When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene they found the girl in severe pain. She received treated at the scene for a broken arm, various scrapes and bruises as well as suspected back and neck injuries. She was later transported to Mediclinic Bloemfontein for further care.
