Construction worker injured in Brackenfell


BRACKENFELL 19 March 2012, 09:00

One man sustained injuries this morning after falling approximately five meters from a scaffolding at a construction site near the Cape Gate shopping mall.

The cause of the incident is unknown at this stage. When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene they found the man, believed to be aged in his 40’s, at the bottom of the scaffolding construction. The man was in severe pain.

Paramedics treated the man for broken arms as well as a suspected back and neck injury before transporting him to the nearby Mediclinic Cape Gate for further treatment. The appropriate authority will be investigating the incident further.
