A body of an unknown man has been found at the bottom of a gorge near the N3 highway, just past the Shongweni off ramp in Hillcrest.
The cause of the man’s body being at the bottom of the gorge is unknown. Multiple Emergency Medical Services including ER24 attended the scene and rescue efforts were put in place to recover the body. The body was later retrieved from the gorge. The man had sustained various fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
Local law enforcement officials attended the scene and will be investigating the cause of the incident.
