A toddler is in a serious condition after falling into a pool and nearly drowing at a residence in Farrarmere this evening.
A mother found her toddler in the pool and quickly pulled the child out while help was called. The quick reaction from the mother may have saved her child’s life. Within minutes ER24 paramedics were on the scene and started to assess the toddler. The patient needed Advanced Life Support intervention to help assist with the breathing. Once the child was stabilised further, a Medicopter was called to the scene to air lift the patient who was in a serious but stable condition to hospital for rapid medical care.
It is uncertain how long the toddler was in the pool for but if it wasn’t for the quick reaction from the mother and applying basic first aid to her child it may have ended worse.
