Over 100 children have been treated for suspected food poisoning this afternoon at a school in Henley On Klip in the Meyerton area.
ER24 and the Provincial Ambulance Service where notified by the teachers about children been rather sick. Paramedics assessed the patients and found that the children had signs and symptoms of possible food poisoning. The children were stabilised on scene and transported to various hospitals in the area for further medical care.
The Provincial Ambulance Service brought in their disaster bus to help transport the sick children to hospital. It is believed that the children started having symptoms early today.
Thanks to the great team work amongst the services to treat and transport the children to hospital.
