[Kempton Park, GP – 21 October 2012 at 13H30]
A collision between a Bakkie and a VW Golf on the R25 between Kempton Park and Bapsfontein has left one person dead and two others with moderate injuries this afternoon.
Paramedics arrived on the scene and found the two vehicles in the road with extensive damage to both vehicles. The driver of the VW Golf who is believed to be in his late forties to early fifties was found entrapped inside the vehicle. He was assessed and unfortunately had already succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased on scene.
The driver and passenger of the Bakkie both in there late twenties had sustained moderate injuries and were stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital for further medical care.
The necessary authorities were on the scene and would investigate the accident further.
