[MIDDELBURG, MP, 22 October 2012, 06:40] A 11 year old school boy sustained some injuries this morning following an incident which had a spike protrude into one of his fingers. The schoolboy dressed in uniform had allegedly climbed a tree in order to cross a palisade wall. As the child exited the tree overhanging the wall he grabbed onto the wall resulting in one of the spikes protruding through his little finger. ER24 paramedics were called to the scene and found the child in some pain. Paramedics calmed the patient and gave him pain medication before transporting him to a nearby medical facility for further treatment. Andre Visser, ER24 084 211 2277
