A three-year-old boy is in a serious condition after a near drowning incident in Uvongo on the Natal south coast. Reports are that the Tongaat family was on holiday at a resort in Uvongo when the family found the unresponsive boy in the pool.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and established that the child had started to breathe after the parents started resuscitation. The Netcare 911 advanced life support paramedic and his team took over treating the patient.
After stabilizing him on scene they transported the patient to the Netcare Margate hospital for the care that he required.
