A man is in a serious condition after a near-drowning incident on the Durban beachfront this afternoon at 15h00. Reports indicate that the man jumped from a pier on the beachfront and got into difficulty in the water, Life guard’s quick response resulted in them pulling the man out of the water and preventing a tragedy.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and after treating the man for near drowning symptoms, they transported him to Addington hospital for the care that he required.
