While apparently fixing something on the roof of a home in Southfield, a man in his 40’s sustained injuries after falling off a ladder.
Paramedics were called to assist when the man was found lying on the floor next to where he is believed to have fallen from. He had been up the ladder which was about three meters high. The man had sustained what appeared to paramedics on first assessment as back injuries only, and then minor scrapes and bruises. The man was alert and talking to paramedics, he was just complaining of a severe amount of pain.
The Advanced Life Support paramedic gave him something to ease his pain and he was then taken to the ambulance, transported to a nearby hospital and handed over to the hospital staff in a stable condition.
