Kloof drowning incident leaves child critical

A seventeen-month –old boy is fighting for his life in a Durban hospital after a drowning incident in Kloof this morning. Reports indicate that the residence noticed the child floating in the pool, they pulled the unresponsive child from the water and called for help.

Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and worked for about forty minutes to stabilize the little boy. After he was placed on a ventilator and immobilized in a spinal device, they transported him to the Nkosi Albert Luthuli hospital for the care that he required.
