A motorcyclist believed to be in his mid-twenties was killed after losing control of his motorbike on DLI Avenue opposite Greyville Race Course in the late part of yesterday evening.
ER24 along with other emergency personnel arrived on the scene and found the motorcyclist lying in the middle of the grass verge with the motorbike a few meters down the road away from the scene. The patient was assessed and found he had sustained very traumatic and fatal injuries and was declared deceased on scene.
The circumstances around the accident will be investigated by the local authorities to what may have caused the patient to lose control. The road was closed while the authorities investigated the incident.
