A sixty-two-year old man was seriously injured after he sustained a gunshot wound in Sasolburg just after 04h00 this morning.
Netcare 911 paramedics treated and stabilised the patient on scene before transporting him via ambulance to the Vereeniging Medi-Clinic.
Exact detail to the cause of the incident will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
