A man believed to be in his mid-thirties was body surfing on Clifton 1st Beach when he collided with another swimmer and injured his back this afternoon.
Clifton Beach Life Guards pulled the man from the ocean and called for ER24 and Camps Bay Community Medical Services to the scene. Once on scene they assessed the man and found he had a suspected neck and back injury and was an able to feel his arms. Advanced Life Support intervention was performed on the patient before he was airlifted to Mediclinic Milnerton by AER24 medicopter for further medical care.
