Teenager drown near Wild Coast

A teenager has drowned while another suffered near drowning symptoms after they got into difficulty at Thompsons Bay near the Wild coast Wednesday afternoon. Reports indicate that the one boy was swimming in the lagoon wand got into difficulty, his friend  swam to help him  and in the end had to be rescued.

Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that the boys had been pulled out of the water and bystanders started C P R on the one child. Paramedics continued with advanced life support resuscitation for more than an hour, tragically the boy was declared dead on scene. The other boy was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Port Shepstone for the care that he required.
