Midrand accident leaves nine people injured


Netcare 911 paramedics, its rescue unit and other services responded to an accident on the R55 at the Summit Road intersection in Midrand, Johannesburg.

Upon their arrival on scene they found that a minibus had collided with a motor vehicle resulting in nine people sustaining injuries. Three people sustained serious injuries and six people sustained moderate injuries.

After all the injured people were treated and stabilised on scene, they were transported to nearby hospitals for further medical care.

Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
