A Gauteng man has tragically died while Scuba diving on the Natal South coast this afternoon. Exact detail as to what occurred is still speculative and will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the Umkomaas diving site and waited for the dive boat to bring the man to shore. As the boat beached they found that fellow divers were doing C P R on a man in his twenties.
Paramedics placed the patient on the beach and started with advanced life support resuscitation for about forty minutes, tragically the diver was declared dead on scene.
