German tourists swept out to sea and rescued in Salt Rock

Three German tourists were rescued at a beach in Salt Rock after they were swept out to sea at around 10h28 this morning. Reports indicate that the farther, his thirteen-year-old girl and the sixteen- year-old son were swept out to sea at Granny’s pool in Salt Rock.

Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the Kwadukuza life guards had rescued the people and had them on the beach. Paramedics treated the patients for near- drowning symptoms and then transported them to a Netcare hospital in Ballito for the care that they required.
