Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to a head-on collision on Main Reef Road in Benoni this evening.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that three men had tragically lost their lives and that one person was seriously injured.
The injured person was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
