Details surrounding the incident at the railway tracks near Edward street in Benoni are unclear and are currently under investigation, but for some reason the man was on the tracks when the train passed.
The train collided with the man which led to him sustaining such severe injuries that there was no more that could be done to save his life and he was declared dead on scene.
At this time it is not known as to how old the man had been or as to what he was doing at the tracks.
