Protective clothing saves worker from electrocution

A good friend from Talisman in Garsfontein, Pretoria shared with us an account of the miraculous survival of a customer from electrocution:

“One of our customers had hired an electrical jack-hammer to break a piece of concrete at a construction site.

The customer explains that there was a loud noise and a flash. On closer inspection he noticed that his workers had gone straight through the concrete floor and hit the main electrical cable supply.

In the photo you can see what a chisel is suppose to look like (Right) and what happened to the chisel that went into the electrical cable (left) . The tip completely disintegrated and was melted within a matter of seconds.

Fortunately the worker was wearing all layers of protective clothing and was completely unscathed.
