Just before 4pm yesterday 17 April 2013 Rescue Care paramedics were called out to Main Road before Stella Road in Escombe.
On arrival paramedics found that three vehicles had been involved in a rear end collision. Paramedics found that a total of four people had sustained various injuries. Two patients were placed on specialized spinal boards to prevent any further injury and once all of the patients were stabilized on the scene they were transported by Rescue Care to St Augustine’s Hospital for further care.
It is unclear what caused the collision however the necessary authorities were on the scene and will be investigating.
Traffic was severely affected as the west bound carriageway of Main Road was obstructed by the collision.
