Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to a head-on collision on Soutpans Road in Onderstepoort, Pretoria this morning.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a minibus and motor vehicle were involved in this accident.
Fifteen people were injured during the accident. The driver of the motor vehicle sadly died during the accident and the driver of the minibus sustained critical injuries. The Jaws of Life had to be used to extricate the critically injured driver of the minibus. The remaining patients all sustained serious injuries.
After all the injured were treated and stabilised on scene, they were all transported to various hospitals in the area for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
