One person has died and another person is in a critical condition after a train knocked them down while they were on the railway line in Durban CBD this morning.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the two men both believed to be in their forties lying on the side of the tracks. They were assessed and found that one patient had sustained very traumatic and fatal injuries and was declared deceased on scene.
The second patient had sustained very traumatic head injuries and was in a critical condition. The patient received Advanced Life Support intervention and was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
The circumstances around the incident would be investigated by the local authorities.
